Nesting amid the hills of Lugano with a spectacular panoramic view of the lake, sits a newly renovated luxurious villa belonging to high-profile clients of architect Pasquale Piroso, owner of the Loft Canova architecture studio.

It was during this renovation in 2021 that Pasquale seized the opportunity to collaborate with UNIQ·Ǝ! and design a faucet specifically for the two bathrooms of the extravagant home. His approach to embody the style, colour, and personalization of the proprietor within its design while maintaining aesthetic harmony through the corridors of the residence, was a unique occasion and graciously accomplished in UNIQ·Ǝ!’s MIRELLA project.

Shortly before Christmas 2021, Pasquale and his client invited UNIQ·Ǝ! founder and creator Giovanni Pitturru to see the luxury home in which Mirella was installed.

Entering the residence, 4 feminine marmoreal statues grace the entrance with style and grandeur, emphasizing a theme of beauty. The neoclassical figures evoke the marble sculptures of the famous neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova; a theme strongly desired by Piroso, also because his studio in Rome, Loft Canova, is located in the building where the sculptor of the same name had his atelier. It was from within this space that Antonio Canova prepared his sculptural models and created his masterpieces and his famous marble sculptures.

Immersed in a prestigious landscape, the stone-grey house is animated with elegant travertine-coloured frames and details, accentuating timeless elegance. External mirrored feature walls captivate striking reflections of facing mountains deceptively posing within the property.

The glass transparency of the balustrades that surround the house reveal the stately sophistication of the villa and allow a great source of natural light to enter all the interior spaces, while guaranteeing an uninterrupted bellavista from any given part of the villa.

The private exterior terrace features an outdoor pool and an enclosed contemporary glass gazebo fully equipped with a concealed kitchen, fireplace and remote-controlled mobile roof to satisfy all four seasons.

The romantic, modern Baroque interior is colour coordinated with a luxurious duet of gold and white, while crystal chandeliers light the common areas to complement the overall atmosphere of splendour.  White marble glaze the floors downstairs and warm parquet are laid upstairs, both encouraging the sunlight to bounce joyfully from the rippled lake to the villa’s reflective surfaces.

Mirella faucets have a gold finish, created specifically to match the details of the furniture and blend harmoniously into the context. They pose graciously in both bathrooms illustrating the charisma of the villa, personifying the very essence of luxury while claiming exclusivity of design.
